Ziyi Zhao joined the Centre for International Manufacturing as a Visiting PhD student. She is a PhD student in Zhejiang University, China.
Ziyi graduated with a BA in Human Resource Management and a Dual BA in English from Cho Kochen Honors College, Zhejiang University in 2012. She received her MA by research degree in International Business from the University of Leeds, U.K., in 2014. She joined the National Institute for Innovation Management, School of Management, Zhejiang University, to conduct her doctoral research. The focus of her PhD research is on the isomorphism phenomenon among Chinese manufacturing firms. Her research aims to generalize different isomorphism mechanisms based on case studies on Chinese manufacturing firms and to discover how conforming to isomorphic pressures contribute to firms’ innovation performance.
