Prof Ove Granstrand
Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professor
Prof Ove Granstrand is Leverhulme Trust Visiting Professor, to the Institute for Manufacturing during the academic year 2018/2019. He will be working closely with Dr Frank Tietze with the Centre for Technology Management and the Innovation and IP Management Group. While in Cambridge, Prof Granstrand is a visiting fellow at Clare Hall.
He served as Professor in Industrial Management and Economics at Chalmers University of Technology and is founder of CIP – Center for Intellectual Property Studies at Chalmers. His research interest concerns economics and management of technology and innovation. In particular, he has studied innovation, corporate strategy and diversification in multi-technology corporations in Europe, Japan and the USA, as well as various issues related to R&D, intellectual property and intellectual capital more generally.
He is member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. Ove has been a frequent visitor to Stanford's Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR).
