
Julian is currently a visiting graduate student at the University of Cambridge pursuing a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany.
His journey in academia has been complemented by an Erasmus+ exchange semester at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, where he concentrated on operations and supply chain strategy. Before his master’s Julian completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Management at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) with a major in mechanical engineering.
Julian’s research at the IfM focuses on investigating the implications of Blockchain on the effectiveness of supply chain operations of an industry partner, as well as its first and second-tier suppliers.
His professional experience encompasses a range of internships, including positions at several top-tier management consultancies like the Boston Consulting Group, Strategy& and Simon-Kucher & Partners where he worked across a wide range of sectors and business functions. Furthermore, he worked in the product portfolio planning for Audi AG and the strategy and business development of formerly Siemens Hydrogen Solutions which are now part of Siemens Energy AG.
In his free time, Julian engages in basketball, fitness activities like running or meditation, and traveling.
