
Yichuan ZHU joined the NanoMaunfacturing group led by Prof Michael De Volder in June 2023. He completed his master’s degree in 2022 in Tokyo Institute of Technology (Japan) and is currently a PhD candidate at the same institution. He is a recipient of both Super Smart Society scholarship and Advanced Human Resource Development Fellowship in Japan. His current interests are MEMs for functional fluid devices. His PhD project is to study Needle and ring electrode pairs for Electro-conjugate fluid(ECF) micropumps and the application in soft robots.
