Mohd Fauzi Mohd Said

Current Research

Fauzi has joined the Business Model Innovation research programme in January 2018 as a research student under the supervision of Dr. Chander Velu. His main area of interest is dynamic capabilities for the firm. He is currently researching the role of innovative business models for small businesses in the manufacturing industry.

 

Background

Fauzi completed his Master in Public Policy (MPP) from Hertie School of Governance, Germany and has obtained BSc in Real Estate Management from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He also hold Advanced Diploma in Teaching, Training and Assessing Learning from City and Guilds, London. As part of his MPP programme, he interned at the Embassy of Malaysia in Berlin.

 

In his 15 years of service in private and public sectors, he had assumed several positions at the Colliers, Jordan Lee and Jaafar, Shah Alam City Council, Prime Minister’s Department, Ministry of Federal Territory, Public Service Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Embassy of Malaysia in Cairo and Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry.

 

Before starting his PhD, he has seconded to the Razak School of Government (RSOG), a company limited by guarantee which has been mandated to groom the future public sector leaders of Malaysia across all service sectors. Fauzi capitalised his expertise in public leadership and strategic management, and has developed learning tools and practical solutions in strategic branding, organisational leadership, organisational culture and diversity. These have been delivered to organisations of different sizes across the public sector. Fauzi also delivers training and facilitation in these areas.

 

He received the Federal Training Award in 2017 and Chief Secretary to the Government Award for best leadership in 2004.
