Quirin Gaertner is a visiting PhD student at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) and a member of the Decision-Making for Emerging Technologies group within the Centre for Technology Management. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich. Quirin received his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Management from the Technical University of Munich, focusing on the development of methods for the identification and evaluation of technological innovation projects in manufacturing.
Quirin's main research interest at the IfM focuses on the tactical planning of innovation projects in manufacturing. In particular, he investigates how manufacturing companies can identify relevant planning aspects in a structured way. In addition, he investigates how the interdependencies of these planning aspects can be analysed and transferred into a project roadmap.
