Callon joined the Institute for Manufacturing in 2023 as a PhD student in the Fluid in Advanced Manufacturing (FIAM) Group under the supervision of Prof Ronan Daly and Prof Bill O’Neill. His research looks at implementing direct-write additive and subtracting techniques for novel glass functionalities, such as embedded electronics and coatings.
Prior to joining FIAM, Callon graduated from Imperial College London with an MSci in Chemistry. There, his research focused on Liquid Phase Exfoliation of h-BN for printed electronics.
