Shuyan joined the NanoManufacturing research group in October 2023 as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Professor Akshay Rao, Professor Michael De Volder and Professor Dame Clare Grey. She holds a BEng in Materials Science and Engineering from Wuhan University of Technology and an MPhil in New Energy Technology from Tsinghua University. Shuyan’s research focuses on lithium metal anode, using optical microscopy to observe operando lithium-ion kinetics.
