Simon Pattinson has been Course Director of the taught MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management at the Institute for Manufacturing since 2005, having joined the Institute in 1999 as Industrial Tutor. His early career started in Dunlop Ltd as Mechanical Engineer followed by a number of senior project management positions in Africa and the Middle East. From 1986 he was Marketing Manager of Rehau Ltd, the German industrial polymers company, and then went on to be Sales Director for part of the Halma Group. He became a Chartered Marketer in 2001.
