Kaya is a PhD student under the supervision of Prof Duncan McFarlane and part of the Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory (DIAL) research group. Her research focuses on data strategies to enable the resilient delivery of emergency department services.
In addition to her research activities, Kaya is an undergraduate student supervisor for the Manufacturing Engineering and Management Tripos at the IfM and Judge Business School, and closely collaborates with Addenbrooke’s hospital on several operations projects. Since 2022, Kaya is active as President of the Cambridge University German Society.
Prior to starting her PhD, Kaya obtained an MPhil in Industrial Systems, Manufacture and Management from the University of Cambridge. She holds undergraduate degrees in (Technology) Management and Political Science from Ludwig-Maximilians-University and the Center for Digital Technology and Management (CDTM).
