Julius joined the IfM as a PhD candidate in engineering and a European Scholarship recipient in 2020. He is passionate about the potential of interdisciplinary problem solving, entrepreneurship and digital technologies to improve people’s daily lives. Under the supervision of Dr. Chander Velu, he focuses in his research on these three aspects, combining business model innovation, digitisation and productivity.
Prior, Julius earned a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering as well as a M.Sc. in Management from the Technical University of Munich with research stays in Stanford and Cambridge. Julius enjoys very much to spend time with his family & friends and to explore the world with his backpack – always on the lookout for new opportunities to connect people, overcome social barriers and push technical boundaries.
