Julius joined the IfM as a PhD candidate in engineering and a Cambridge Trust Scholar in 2020. He is passionate about the potential of interdisciplinary problem solving, entrepreneurship and digital technologies to improve people’s daily lives. Under the supervision of Prof. Chander Velu, he focuses in his research on Financialization and Financial Servitization, combining business model innovation, digitisation and productivity.
Prior, Julius obtained a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering as well as a M.Sc. in Management from the Technical University of Munich with research stays in Stanford and Cambridge.
Since September 2023 he is working from Stanford University as a visiting scholar.
