Alexander joined the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM) in 2023 under the supervision of Dr Rob Phaal. His research will be exploring engineering and technology management practices in extreme environments. With a career deeply rooted in this field, Alex has conducted engineering operations across the globe from Europe to the Middle East and currently holds post as the mechanical engineer for the British Antarctic Survey’s infrastructure modernisation programme.
Alex completed his technical apprenticeship with the Royal Engineers at the Royal School of Military Engineering and graduated with a BEng (Hons) in Engineering from the Open University.
