Dr Lili Jia
Lili Jia is a research associate at Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge. Her work focuses on strategising sustainable behavioural transitions in manufacturing and consumer demand. Previously, she held appointments at University of London, University of Bonn, Germany, Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Central and Eastern Europe (IAMO), Germany and China Appraisal Group, China. She received her PhD in Economics at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany.

She identified the limits of carbon tax policy in mitigating carbon emissions in industries by integrating potential environmental impacts into economic behaviour analysis. Her PhD thesis introduced farm structure into household economic behaviour analysis and deepened the understanding of the potential impacts of land policy innovation. She is interested in quantifying social, economic and environmental trade-offs in behavioural changes for improving business performance.
