Yi joined the Institute for Manufacturing as a PhD researcher in October 2023, under the supervision of Dr. Yongjiang Shi. Her research interests are concentrated in the areas of transnational operation, deglobalization and decoupling, supply chain management, and ecosystem resilience. Yi has been recipient of the Harding Scholarship. Previously, she obtained a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in Economics from Tsinghua University. After graduation, Yi joined the Industrial Commercial Bank of China, the world's largest bank, where she performed the task of financing overseas projects of multinational enterprises for six years.
