Since 2015, Colin Haden has been an Industrial Associate of the IfM Engage team, working with organisations to help improve designs, products, services, and technology and innovation management.
He has worked with multiple clients, addressing various challenges with a focus upon:
- design management;
- ‘Market and Product’ strategy, including market assessment, new product introduction;
- product strategy and product platforming;
- roadmapping for technology, materials, products and services;
- servitisation and ecosystems.
Colin was previously with the BOC and The Linde Group, having held senior management and functional roles in operations technical, marketing and business development within global functions and operating businesses. He was also head of the CoE for the ‘Gases Packaging’ team which won two Red Dot Awards for product design and was recognised for his work developing tools and methodologies for market assessment, strategy planning and channel management. His achievements have included launching multiple new products, services and site services capabilities.
After studying mechanical and production engineering, he became a chartered marketer. With over 30+ years’ experience in industrial markets – based in both the UK and Canada – he has also worked in Asia, China, EMEA and North America.
