Joakim uses his operational experiences in the construction industry to support clients in implementing and using approaches developed at IfM regarding:
- Strategy and product technology roadmapping
- Working with R&D governance
Prior to working with IfM Engage, Joakim spent 15 years as head of research and development in a world leading project development and construction group where he gained experience in setting up R&D governance and project portfolio structures.
Joakim has also spent time in the energy sector, working with offshore wind power, and a sabbatical at University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada where he studied capability needs for a circular construction sector.
