Arian is a visiting PhD student in the Innovation and Intellectual Property Management Lab at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge. Working with Prof. Frank Tietze, he studies patent litigation, drawing on a decade-long dataset of US federal court cases to examine how firms respond to litigation and how disputes shape innovation outcomes.
He is an external doctoral researcher at the Chair of Innovation, Strategy and Organization (Prof. Nils Foege), University of Münster, where his research also covers entrepreneurial ecosystems and the twin transformation of digitalization and sustainability. At Leibniz University Hannover, where he earned his MSc in Economics and Management, Arian leads hannovate, a non-profit initiative that connects interdisciplinary student teams with regional companies and the startup ecosystem to build new ventures.
