Aitichya Chandra has joined IFM in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge as a Research Assistant. He completed his B.Tech in Civil Engineering from MAKAUT. Kolkata (2017), an M.E. in Transportation Engineering from BITS Pilani (2019), and a PhD in Transportation Systems Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru (2024). His PhD focused on developing air traffic management solutions for gate-to-gate aircraft operations, and his overall research interests lie in transportation systems, network modelling, statistical modelling, and optimization. During his PhD, he was awarded the Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship from 2020 to 2023 by the Government of India. In his free time, he enjoys theatre, movies, and football.
