Alisha Sri-Ram is a medical student with a BA in Engineering from Emmanuel College, Cambridge. She is passionate about medical technology and has a particular interest in applying engineering and computational approaches to challenges in healthcare. She has won a national essay competition on the role of artificial intelligence in medicine and participated in the Innovation i-Teams programme, where she worked on a balance-assistive wearable device.

Alisha is also a Research Fellow at Harvard University in the Farhat Lab within the Department of Biomedical Informatics, where she works on applications of artificial intelligence to tuberculosis care. She was awarded the Cambridge University Students’ Clinical Research Society Prize in 2026 for this work. She is also a Fellow at Caltech in the Greer Lab within the Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science, where she works on 3D-printing technologies to support CAR T-cell therapy.

Alisha aims to integrate her engineering training with her clinical background to drive advances at the interface of medicine, engineering and healthcare technology. She is currently working with Professor Ronan Daly on the behaviour and characterisation of nanoparticle drug-delivery systems under physiological flow, with a particular focus on developing analytical approaches to understand how nanoparticles interact with and change within flowing blood-mimicking environments.
