
Dil Sidhu is the Director of Business Development and Programmes at the IfM. His focus is on new and existing client opportunities where the expertise of the IfM, and the University of Cambridge, can add value through professional development programmes.
Prior to joining IfM Engage he undertook a range of academic roles:
- Head of the Business School, Birkbeck, University of London
- Chief Content Officer, Coursera
- Vice Dean, Executive Education, Columbia Graduate School of Business
- Chief External Officer, The University of Manchester
- Director of Custom Executive Education, London Business School
Dil has also worked in the public and private sectors including serving as Deputy Chief Executive at the London Borough of Lambeth, where his leadership resulted in an improvement in council ratings and £55 million in cost savings. Management consultancy and business advisory roles, with organizations like BDO LLP and KPMG, further honed his expertise in business restructuring and operational strategy.
Advisory experience also includes providing strategic planning for education (online and on-campus) with McKinsey Global Institute, Bain & Company, PwC, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ministry of Education UAE, World Bank, EY, and the World Economic Forum.
A lifelong learner, Dil holds an MBA, MSc, and MA and is pursuing a DBA, focused on Leadership and Behavioural Science, at the University of Bath. He has also completed advanced certifications in AI for Education (King’s College London), Business Sustainability (Cambridge University), Scenario Planning (Oxford University) and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (Northwestern University). Dil is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders, fostering inclusion, and driving innovation. Guided by his belief in collective intelligence, he champions the mantra: "None of us is as smart as all of us."
