
Mirco joined the Institute for Manufacturing - Centre for Technology Management (CTM) in April 2019. Under the supervision of Dr Thomas Bohné, Mirco is reading for his PhD in Engineering. He is interested in human-machine collaboration, and how technology can enhance human abilities in human-centred cyber-physical production systems.
Mirco holds a postgraduate degree in MSc Industrial Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), and in MSc Internet Technologies from Loughborough University. Prior to this he was awarded an undergraduate degree in BSc Industrial Engineering - Mechanical Engineering from University of Technology Ilmenau. Moreover, he received a merit-based scholarship from the Foundation of German Business (sdw) covering both his tuition fees and living costs.
Mirco has worked for Bosch Connected Industry, Audi Production System, and has been a teaching assistant in Algorithms and Programming. In his spare time, he is involved in entrepreneurial activities such as the development of solutions leveraging the industrial Internet of Things (iIoT). Furthermore, Mirco enjoys rowing in the boat engine as a bow sider.
