Launch of new teaching module for Engineering students on "Innovation & Strategic Management of Intellectual Property"
We are very pleased to announce that we have recently launched a new eight-week module for engineering students focused on the management of intellectual property (IP). The module aims for students to develop an advanced understanding of IP, focusing on its management in collaborative and open innovation processes, technology markets and licensing, strategizing for and with IP in innovation ecosystems as well as the utilization of advanced IP analytics. Such topics are rarely taught to students at engineering school despite the demand of students and industry alike for better IP education. We are thus very enthusiastic having launched this module for Cambridge engineering students and hope this may inspire other engineering schools to follow.
