You should recently have received the latest IfM News but, at the risk of clogging up your inbox, I thought I would follow up with a note about our forthcoming IfM Briefing Day and the Alumni Dinner taking place on Tuesday 13 May.

Those of you who came to last year’s Alumni Weekend Event will recall that there was considerable enthusiasm for a somewhat fuller Alumni Programme. Making more of our annual Briefing Day seemed to be a good first step as it will give people a chance to sample all the IfM’s activities during the day but then to meet up in a more “family” context in the evening.

Please see the latest programme here. We expect a few further refinements but this is pretty much as it will look. At the end of the afternoon we are expecting to hear an address from Professor Thomas Kurfess, until recently President Obama’s Manufacturing Advisor. This will be followed by dinner in Churchill for those who wish to stay on.

I do hope as many of you as possible will join what promises to be a rather special day. We will I am afraid have to make a charge of £50 plus VAT for the dinner but I hope that will not put too many people off.
