Governments around the world have high hopes for Additive Manufacturing (AM) – also widely referred to as ‘3D printing’. But if it is to have the economic impact they are looking for, there needs to be a better understanding of both the huge opportunities AM presents as well as the barriers that may prevent it realising its potential.

The IfM has joined forces with Cambridge-based intellectual property firm Avidity IP to start the Strategic Intellectual Property Forum.

On Tuesday 17 November, 18 innovators pitched their new ideas for food-related products and services to members of the Open Innovation Forum – a group of senior executives from major food and FMCG firms, such as Mars, Unilever, General Mills, Tate & Lyle, Tesco and Crown Packaging.
