Strategic planning for digital transformation [WEBINAR]
Digital transformation in competitive global industry is a race to the future, with success demanding the alignment of various system and functional perspectives. Firms need to ensure that both commercial and technical aspects are considered together, often involving strategic alignment with supplier developments. This does not just involve alignment of purpose, but also alignment in time - i.e. synchronisation.
Digital transformation is particularly challenging in this regard, given the very different clock speeds of digital vs production technology. Roadmapping is a widely used visual management technique that is ideally suited to tackling these challenges, as the structure of roadmaps incorporates both systems thinking, with time as an explicit dimension.
In this webinar Dr Rob Phaal:
- explores the concept and practice of strategic roadmapping
- looks at how roadmapping can be applied to support digital transformation
- provides examples of how roadmapping has been used in different contexts to support long-term strategic planning
