Tobias has joined the Centre for International Manufacturing (CIM) as a visiting researcher from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. His research focuses on quality control strategies in manufacturing networks. The purpose of his studies is to gain a better understanding about effective quality management measures considering divergent target systems of different sites.
At KIT, Tobias coordinates a research project concerning performance evaluation of international manufacturing networks. He conducted several consulting projects with industry related to production, logistics, and supply chain optimization. He has presented papers at Cambridge’s Annual International Manufacturing Symposium and several conferences of the International Academy for Production Engineering (CIRP). Before joining KIT, he did several internships in the consulting area as well as in the German machinery equipment industry.
Tobias graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering of RWTH Aachen University (Germany) in 2012 and holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing (China).
