Philipp Kernstock is a Research Associate and doctoral researcher at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on the governance, evolution, and organisation of industrial digital platforms and data ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on data spaces, enterprise data architectures, and inter-organisational collaboration in manufacturing and mobility contexts. In his work, Philipp examines how organisations build and govern large-scale data ecosystems and digital infrastructures, combining perspectives from information systems, platform governance, and organisational theory. He collaborates closely with industry partners, including Volkswagen, Audi, SAP, and Catena-X, on projects related to industrial data sharing, digital transformation, and AI-enabled enterprise systems.
