Visiting Research Fellow
Nora Fanderl heads the department ‘mobility ecosystems’ at Fraunhofer-Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO in Stuttgart, Germany. The team supports digital mobility transition of cities, regions and companies with expertise in user behavior science, business model development as well as data simulation and modelling. Moreover, Nora represents the Fraunhofer Society within Knowledge and Innovation Community EIT Urban Mobility, in which 49 international Partners develop mobility innovations for cities. Before that, Nora has several years of experience as a project lead within the innovation network “Morgenstadt:
City Insights" and different architectural firms.
Nora Fanderl holds a Master’s degree in Urban Design from HafenCity University in Hamburg and a diploma in design from HfT Stuttgart. In her PhD, Nora Fanderl investigates forms of governance for the design and implementation of mobility innovations in cities. The PhD is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research in a national program for society-related sustainability research.
