
Michel Schimpf is a Doctoral Researcher under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Bohné. As part of the Cyber-Human Lab at the University of Cambridge, his research focuses on the intersection of large language models (LLMs) and psychology, particularly how AI can support behaviour change.
Michel holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and completed a minor in Psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Munich. Prior to joining the Cyber-Human Lab, he worked as a Software Developer at BMW, a Venture Capital Analyst at Senovo, and a Machine Learning Engineer at Aaron.ai. Additionally, he founded a non-profit IT education startup in Colombia and created wahl.chat, a political education chatbot that answered over one million questions during the German election.
