Maheen Ejaz

Visiting Ph.D Researcher

I am currently a PhD researcher in Technology Innovation and Management at the University of Bergamo (Italy), where my research focuses on the development of a technological mapping model for local companies. My work aims to analyse innovation ecosystems and identify key technological trends, digital transformation dynamics, and collaborative opportunities between industry and research institutions.

My research is carried out in collaboration with Confindustria Bergamo and the Digital Innovation Hub, where I analyse the digital maturity and innovation needs of companies and explore how regional ecosystems can better support technological development and competitiveness. The research integrates multiple data sources, including digital maturity assessments, European innovation project databases, patent data, and regional innovation indicators, to better understand the relationship between technological capabilities, innovation strategies, and industrial transformation.

During my visiting research period at the Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge, I will be collaborating with researchers in the Strategy and Technology and Innovation Management (STIM) group. My visit focuses on exploring methodologies for technology and innovation mapping, with the aim of further developing my doctoral research and strengthening the connection between academic research and industry-driven innovation strategies.
