Background
Katjana graduated from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Göttingen with an BEng in Precision Engineering 2015. During her studies she worked for ContiTech and completed an apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic. During university vacations she accompanied both industrial mechanics and engineers from different departments to finish various tasks for the company. The topic of her Bachelor Thesis was “Energy reduction by controlling cooling water using the example of an internal mixer for producing technical rubber mixtures”.
Katjana attended the Cambridge MRes in 2015/16, starting her PhD in October 2016 under the supervision of Dr Martin Sparkes and advisor Prof Bill O'Neill.
