Jose Jr. Luna A.
PhD Student in Aerospace Manufacturing
Jose Luna is a PhD student in Aerospace Manufacturing. His research is focused on supply chain development for the Aerospace sector using complex network theory. Jose has joined the Institute for Manufacturing in February 2018 under the supervision of Dr Alexandra Brintrup. He is doing his PhD at Cranfield University sponsored by the Mexican Government (CONACYT), under the supervision of Dr Konstantinos Salonitis, and he will spend the next months at University of Cambridge as a student visitor.
Jose obtained a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Manufacturing at Cranfield University, United Kingdom, sponsored by the Mexican Government (CONACYT).
Jose awarded a scholarship to obtain his B.S. Mechatronics Engineering degree at Tecnologico de Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico. He graduated with honours and was recognized by the National Association of Engineering Universities (ANFEI) as the best student of Mechatronics Engineering in 2010.
During his undergraduate studies, Jose obtained a diploma in Aeronautics at Tecnologico de Monterrey and a Certificate in Computer Aided Engineering and Design applied to Aeronautical Engineering at ESTACA (Ecole Superieure des Techniques Aeronautiques et de Construction Automobile), Paris, France.
Jose worked a Professor and project leader of ‘Aircraft Assembly OneX’ at CEDIA (Centre for the Development of the Aerospace Industry), Tecnologico de Monterrey, Mexico. He also led the project ‘Developing a production planning and control system’ at Bromford Industries located in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
