David joined the Institute for Manufacturing as a visiting graduate student in the Innovation and Intellectual Property Management Lab under the supervision of Prof. Frank Tietze. His research focuses on Intellectual Property Risk Management, in particular developing a framework to map different IP treatments with IP risks and uncertainties.
David is a graduate student in production technologies at the RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Prior to this, he completed a dual study program in mechanical engineering at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences and at Erlenbach GmbH.
During his studies, he gained practical experience in various engineering roles at a machine manufacturer and as a management consultant at thyssenkrupp AG, where he was able to gain experience in the area of IP in an M&A project.
