Background
Claus started as a part-time PhD student in October 2009, supervised by Ken Platts. He has spent 20 years in industry where he has manufacturing experience in machine tool production, motors and robotics including Siemens and Toyoda. He has extensive project management experience in the fields of manufacturing optimisation, lead time reduction, engineering and design including research and development. He is a specialist in Lean and Flow Manufacturing Education, Implementation and Formalization in which he has trained over 2000 manufacturing professionals.
He is a Partner in REOSS training and consulting and was MD of the Advanced Manufacturing Institute from 2000-02.
He has a Master of Engineering degree from the University of Erlangen, Germany and is fluent in German, English and French.
