
Bennet Weiss is a Visiting Graduate Researcher under the supervision of Dr Chander Velu and has been part of the Business Model Innovation Research Group at the IfM since October 2025. His research investigates how Industrial AI enables business model innovation in manufacturing ecosystems, with a particular focus on how new business models can accelerate AI adoption on the shopfloor.
Bennet is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Management & Technology (Mechanical Engineering) at the Technical University of Munich and previously completed a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration at TU Darmstadt and Linköping University. He has conducted research on business model innovation and outcome-based models in manufacturing at TRUMPF, worked in corporate strategy at Siemens, and gained consulting experience at Horváth, Kearney, and Roland Berger.
