Amit Kumar Jain joined DIAL in August 2018. His main area of interest is risk-based asset management. In his PhD, Amit worked under the supervision of Dr. B.K. Lad in the area of Prognostics and Health Management from the Discipline of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Indore, India. Before starting his PhD, he received his Master’s in Maintenance Engineering from National Institute of Technology Bhopal, India in 2013. Prior to this, he graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Sagar Institute of Research and Technology Bhopal in 2011.
Improving the accuracy of predicting unexpected failures of engineering systems viz. Aircraft engine, gears, cutting tools, etc. and optimizing the manufacturing process by leveraging sensor based data streams and advanced data analytics.
