Charlotte has extensive in-house IP management expertise with responsibility for managing global portfolios, including both soft and industrial IP as well as related commercial contracting, legal advice and training for different departments of a business and the board with a strong focus on connecting IP with the business.
Charlotte has an MA in Economics, with a focus on (Intellectual Property) Law and an MSc in product development of clothing.
She started her IP career with a stock listed Dutch multinational company in the technical textile industry. She set up their IP department, the underlying strategy and was responsible for the implementation and embedding it within the organization. Charlotte then worked for one of the leading Dutch fashion labels. For eight years she focused on managing their global IP portfolio, including trademarks, designs and copyrights, as well as related commercial contracting. In November 2019, Charlotte joint one of the largest UK firms of IP specialists, with a European scope, to develop its consultancy offering, utilising her knowledge and in-house expertise to support clients. In March 2020, Charlotte started collaborating with the Innovation and IP Management (IIPM) group within the IfM, with a particular focus on developing more insights in the area of IP business strategy and connecting IP with the business.”
