Women in Manufacturing 2025 conference announced

The Institute for Manufacturing is proud to co-host the Women in Manufacturing UK 2025 conference, taking place on 23 October 2025 at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry and online.
Organised by the Women in Manufacturing UK (WiM UK) initiative, co-led by the IfM, Innovate UK Business Connect, and the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, this major hybrid event brings together a national network of practitioners, researchers, and advocates working to make manufacturing more inclusive, equitable, and representative.
Conference theme: Beyond Barriers – Leading with Inclusion
This year’s theme, Beyond Barriers: Leading with Inclusion, sets the tone for a programme focused on what meaningful inclusion looks like in practice—from boardrooms to shop floors—and how diverse leadership is essential to driving sustainable innovation.
“This conference is about creating a visible, credible platform for women in manufacturing,” said Kate Willsher, COO at IfM Engage and conference co-chair. “But just as importantly, it’s a space for the whole sector to explore what inclusive leadership really means, and how we build it together.”
The day will open with keynote addresses from senior government and industry leaders, alongside panel discussions, fireside chats, and interactive breakout sessions. Highlights include the launch of the Women in Manufacturing Report 2025, led by IfM researchers, which shares new evidence on inclusive leadership and workplace practices across the sector.
Delegates will also hear from mission-aligned organisations and participate in focused sessions on allyship, early career pathways, and inclusive innovation. The conference will conclude with a networking reception.
“Voices from across the UK will contribute to a programme designed to reflect the diversity of the sector and the urgency of change,” said Kate.
