We're taking our research on the road for Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week this June

The Institute for Manufacturing (IfM), University of Cambridge will share insights on key challenges and opportunities in manufacturing and engineering at this year’s Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week, from 4-5 June at the NEC, Birmingham.

As the Knowledge Partner for Smart Manufacturing & Engineering Week, we’re hosting a series of sessions providing practical approaches to tackling industry challenges — whether it’s shaping strategy, improving sustainability, or developing future skills. Topics will include the journey to net zero, the future of industrial safety, the role of digital skills in SMEs, and how to foster inclusive leadership in manufacturing.

Engage with IfM research

Find us in Hall 5, stand E150 to meet the team from the IfM. Next door we'll have the IfM Theatre, showcasing a packed two-day programme of talks and masterclasses.

These sessions will provide inspiration for solving complex challenges, using approaches and knowledge that are grounded in the IfM’s exceptional research, combined with industrial expertise.
