Strategic Intellectual Property Forum

'Sharing best-practice amongst IP Champions’

Fully Booked
Join the Forum’s first event on Tuesday, 7 July 2015 themed 'IP strategies and strategic business perspectives'.

Intellectual property (IP) is a key asset for many companies, but recent research reveals that UK companies lack awareness and capabilities to effectively manage IP. Committed to supporting the UK industry, in particular UK manufacturing companies, the IfM is launching the Strategic Intellectual Property Forum to support companies in using their IP when making strategic decisions.

Join the Forum’s first event on Tuesday, 7 July 2015 themed IP Strategies and strategic business perspectives

Selected talks will cover IP related topics from a strategic business perspective, such as:

  • How to manage IP when collaborating with others (abroad) in joint innovation projects?
  • How to effectively exploit and acquire IP assets?
  • How to license strategically? How to make IP-based business models work?
  • How to use patent data and informatics to support strategic decision-making?

IP Interest Group

Prior to the SIPF event, we’d like to invite you to join the kick-off meeting of our IP Interest Group (IPIG) which will be held at 11:00 on the same day.

The Group will provide a trusted platform for its members to engage in in-depth discussions on strategically relevant IP topics, meeting regularly a few times per year. During this initial meeting, we will propose a modus operandi for further meetings and discussions. Arrangements will then be made to ensure this remains a non-competitive group.

If you would like more information about joining the IPIG please e-mail Dr Frank Tietze.
