
Yongxu Zhao is a PhD student in the Industrial Resilience Research Group at the University of Cambridge, supervised by Dr Mukesh Kumar. He holds a BA and MEng from the Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge, specialising in mechanical and aeronautical engineering.
Before joining IfM in January 2025, Yongxu worked as a purchasing manager for a multinational corporation. In this role, he has led the strategic establishment of an overseas subsidiary to mitigate the supply chain risks arising from US-China trade tensions. Yongxu's PhD research focuses on improving the supply chain resilience of multinational corporations under increasingly uncertain global geopolitics.
