The Centre for Industrial Sustainability has joined a partnership with Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden and ISQ in Portugal (a widening country research institution) under the umbrella of TRUST (Twinning for Industrial Sustainability). The TRUST project aims to boost research excellence in the area of INDUSTRIAL SUSTAINABILITY, increasing the scientific and technical capacity to support and engage European industry on its path to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

TRUST has been funded by the EU H2020 (grant agreement no 810764) to leverage this partnership at European level and foster the conditions for a long-lasting joint cooperation. The twinning initiative is anticipated to support the transfer of scientific and technological knowledge and the emergence of new research opportunities for all partners. Through the involvement of relevant stakeholders, the TRUST project is also expected to help link innovative research with real industrial needs and therefore lead to the creation of new business opportunities.
