Ioan is studying a PhD in Engineering in the Distributed Information and Automation Labratory, supervised by Professor Duncan McFarlane. With a background in Manufacturing Engineering, after having studied MET at the IfM, his work is focussed on Industrial Logistics Automation, primarily targeting small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs). This builds on past and ongoing projects with the Smart Manufacturing Data Hub and the Shoestring initiatives, aimed at supporting companies with transitions towards adopting digital technologies.
