Self-Healing and Smart Coatings: The Future of Materials

Being able to identify and repair faults or defects early on has clear social and environmental benefits as well as reducing costs for manufacturers and improving the services businesses can provide to their customers. We are interested, therefore, in how new sensors and smart surfaces can be designed and deployed to extend the operating life of machinery and manufactured products.

 

 

A network of experts at the University of Cambridge is working together with external partners to address this challenge. We are looking for companies facing these issues, where our research could have a significant impact.
