IfM to host 2013 Design Management conference

Following the success of the first Cambridge Academic Design Management Conference (CADMC) in 2011, the 2013 conference will be held on 4 and 5 September at the Institute for Manufacturing in Cambridge.

This unique academic forum dedicated to the growing field of design management will provide opportunities for both established and up-and-coming researchers to share their work, engage in lively discussions and initiate future collaborations.

CADMC 2013 will feature talks, paper presentations and an award for the Best Paper. Keynote speakers include Alan Topalian from Köln International School of Design, one of the pioneers of design management in the 1970s and 80s, and Natalie Nixon, Director of the Strategic Design MBA at Philadelphia University.

An added feature this year is the opportunity for selected PhD students to present some interesting, original, thoughtful new ideas, which might be at a speculative or early stage, in a poster session format.

The Conference will be of interest to academics, professionals and policymakers from a variety of backgrounds, all with a common interest in design management. Attendees will get a chance to learn about the most current research in the field of design management and to take part in discussions and networking sessions.

Early-bird rates are available for those who register before 31 July. Booking can be done online here.
