IfM supports new website for manufacturing growth

The Institute for Manufacturing is among a number of organisations in the education, public and private sector to support the new manufacturing-focused website Made Here Now, launched today.

The website aims to raise awareness of manufacturing in the UK and explains why it is so important for the UK economy both now and in the future.

Made Here Now is the brainchild of former Financial Times Manufacturing Editor, Peter Marsh, and contains case studies, articles and a useful resource section for companies, individuals and those involved in education. The website displays pictures and videos of companies AES, Bentley Motors, Plessey Semiconductors and FormFormForm, showcasing innovations, new technologies and opportunities in key sectors.

Made Here Now is setting out to educate young people on the career opportunities in manufacturing, influence academics and politicians and change perceptions of Britain’s industrial strengths.
