Background
Tony Prouse is a Chartered Engineer who has spent over thirty years in Manufacturing Industry. In his formative years, he obtained a broad grounding in the steel, non ferrous metal and capital goods industries. During this period his roles included Production Management, Project Management and Sales Management. Thereafter, Tony spent seventeen years managing and growing multisite SME (small and medium sized enterprises) businesses in the automotive sector and five years as a Management Consultant working with a diverse range of manufacturing companies.
Tony has managed the start up, acquisition, merger, growth and sale of companies in both the UK and in Eastern Europe. He has extensive experience of building effective teams and growing profitable businesses.
In 2009 Tony joined the IfM ECS SME team, which is focussed on developing innovative business tools and using these tools to help deliver long term sustainable improvements to manufacturing SMEs. To date Tony has worked with over 40 manufacturing companies, predominantly in the Midlands region.
