Background

Roger's past experience includes 12 years as Norman Allen Professor of Fluid Engineering at Cranfield, during which he set up the Department of Fluid Engineering and Instrumentation at Cranfield; Dean of Engineering at Cranfield; a period with BP on multiphase flow and the measurement of water-cut; and a period in the USA working with Northern Research and Engineering Corporation. He has also been on the teaching staff at Imperial College and, at the start of his career, at Cambridge. He has a masters from Harvard, a doctorate from Cambridge and is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Warwick.
