Rachel CuthbertRachel is a Doctoral Researcher and a Research Associate in the Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory. Her research focus is on service information requirements for complex engineering systems, focussing with her PhD on the performance of information systems in supporting the delivery of availability service contracts. Rachel is currently involved in the KT-Box Programme and the Cambridge Service Alliance (CSA). Research interests
BackgroundRachel received her MA/MEng degree in Engineering from Cambridge University in 2000, specialising in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. She then received an EPSRC funded place on the Advanced Course in Design, Manufacture and Management (ACDMM, now ISMM) at the Institute for Manufacturing, Cambridge University, which she completed in 2001. Rachel gained significant industrial experience, between 1995 and 2007, from her work in research & development, manufacturing and supply chain roles within different engineering sectors both in the UK and overseas. Since 2007, Rachel has been a Research Associate in the Distributed Information and Automation Laboratory. She received her MPhil entitled "The information requirements for service development" in May 2010. Rachel is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (2004). |
