Kristine Lund

Visiting Doctoral Researcher

Kristine is a visiting Doctoral Researcher in the Institute for Manufacturing at the University of Cambridge, currently under the supervision of Dr. Veronica Martinez. At IfM, Kristine is working on circular economy operations and services in the end-of-life management of large complex assets.

 

Kristine is currently in her final year as a Doctoral Candidate at University of Southern Denmark (SDU) where she is researching new circular value chains for end-of-life wind turbine blades under the DecomBlades project, funded by Innovation Fund Denmark. Besides this, her research interests are:  Reverse supply chain Management, industrial sustainability, circular economy, and coopetition. She has previously presented her research at numerous international conferences such as EurOMA, EurOMA sustainability Forum, ScAIEM, Wind Europe etc.

 

Kristine holds a M.Sc. degree in Operations Management Engineering and has prior to her research worked more than five years in the composite development and manufacturing industry. She has also completed research programs with CERN (Switzerland), Fudan University (China) and University of Waterloo (Canada).

 

Outside of her academic work, Kristine is a board member of Danish Save The Children (NGO) and sit on the Advisory Board for Research and Education in the Danish Trade Union for STEM professionals (IDA).
